Deadlines for this scholarship
An award closing is only the first of the dates that matter. After it there is the deposit that keeps your place, the unconditional offer the funder wants to see before it pays, and a last day to arrive and register. Where the funder publishes none of these, the row says so — a blank is what the official page actually says, not something we have left out.
No closing date published. This funder sets its closing date per country, or opens the call only when the cycle begins. Send us your documents and we will apply the moment your country’s window opens.
Who can apply
Pakistan, Bangladesh and India all have Chevening country pages and are in scope; Gulf applicants must check their own country page, and India/Pakistan are self-nominated (no scholarship needed from an employer).
What the award is
UK government (Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office) scholarships for a one-year taught master's in any subject, covering tuition, a monthly living stipend, economy airfare and arrival/departure allowances. Open to citizens of Chevening-eligible countries (Pakistan included) with at least two years' work experience; you apply yourself, no nomination is needed. Applications run each August-October for the following autumn intake - the 2027-28 round closed in October 2026 and the next round is expected to open in 2027. Official source: https://www.chevening.org/scholarships/application-timeline/ (checked 29 October 2026).Where these dates came from
The 2027/28 Chevening round has already closed: the Pakistan, Bangladesh and India round pages on chevening.org all read "Applications for 2027-2028 Chevening Scholarships are now closed", and https://www.chevening.org/scholarships/application-timeline/ gives only month-level dates for that round (open August 2026, close October 2026), with no exact day and no dates yet published for the following round (checked 30 October 2026). All columns left blank because the funder publishes no open-round deadline and no per-country day; Chevening also sets no tuition, CAS or enrolment deadline for applicants.
Deadlines move. Always confirm on the funder's own page before you book anything — the link above is where we read it.
