Deadlines for this scholarship
An award closing is only the first of the dates that matter. After it there is the deposit that keeps your place, the unconditional offer the funder wants to see before it pays, and a last day to arrive and register. Where the funder publishes none of these, the row says so — a blank is what the official page actually says, not something we have left out.

This round is closed. The dates above have all passed. Ask us and we will tell you when the funder reopens — most government schemes run on the same window every year.
Who can apply
Development-partner countries in CyprusAid's scope (Africa and the Middle East, incl. Gulf states, have featured in calls); the accessible official page publishes no country list, so Pakistan/India/Bangladesh eligibility could not be confirmed on an official source.
What the award is
CyprusAid is the Republic of Cyprus's state development-cooperation mechanism inside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; since 2025 it has run the country's largest development scholarship programme, with undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral awards plus short training lines, given mainly to nationals of Global South, Commonwealth, Small Island Developing State and La Francophonie member countries. Applications are handled by the participating Cypriot universities: the University of Nicosia's 2026 announcement covers students from Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Zambia, Botswana, Mauritius, Ghana, Senegal, Tanzania and Madagascar, covering full tuition, accommodation, a monthly allowance, insurance and visa/residence fees, with the Spring 2027 intake closing 6 November 2026. Check the current country list and intake on the MFA CyprusAid page and the partner university notice, as each call names its own eligible countries. Official source: https://www.gov.cy/mfa/en/cyprusaid/ (checked 29 October 2026).Where these dates came from
The MFA's CyprusAid page (www.gov.cy/mfa/en/cyprusaid/, checked 30 October 2026) describes the scholarship programme as the largest development scholarship programme since independence but states no open call, dates or eligibility list; all other MFA site paths are behind an Azure WAF JS challenge and the legacy mfa.gov.cy domain was unreachable from this network, so every column is blank rather than using non-official dates.
Deadlines move. Always confirm on the funder's own page before you book anything — the link above is where we read it.
