Deadlines for this scholarship
An award closing is only the first of the dates that matter. After it there is the deposit that keeps your place, the unconditional offer the funder wants to see before it pays, and a last day to arrive and register. Where the funder publishes none of these, the row says so — a blank is what the official page actually says, not something we have left out.
No closing date published. This funder sets its closing date per country, or opens the call only when the cycle begins. Send us your documents and we will apply the moment your country’s window opens.
Who can apply
All nationalities; Master's GPA 3.5/4.0+, full-time study, no other employment or sponsorship, dissertation in a UAE priority sector.
What the award is
Doctoral award at United Arab Emirates University in Al Ain, a federal public university funded by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and open to applicants of all nationalities. Conditions on the official page are a Master's GPA of 3.5/4.0 or above, full-time enrolment, no other employment or financial sponsorship, and a dissertation in a UAE priority sector (renewable energy, transportation, health, water, technology, space). Applications are made through the Graduate Admission portal and follow the graduate admission deadline, so no separate scholarship closing date is published. Official source: https://www.uaeu.ac.ae/en/cgs/phd_scholarship_all.shtml (checked 29 October 2026). In full: , plus up to AED 3,000 from a supervisor's external research project (or AED 2,000 internal); the page does not state the stipend amount.Where these dates came from
The scholarship follows graduate admission deadlines with no separate closing date; the official CGS AY 2026-2027 admission-deadlines PDF shows PhD rows as '-' for Spring 2027 and TBA for Fall 2027 (only Master/PharmD carry the 20 Sep - 3 Nov 2026 Spring 2027 window), so no PhD date is published - https://www.uaeu.ac.ae/en/cgs/pdf/admission-deadlines-for-2026-2027.pdf and https://www.uaeu.ac.ae/en/cgs/phd_scholarship_all.shtml (checked 30 October 2026).
Deadlines move. Always confirm on the funder's own page before you book anything — the link above is where we read it.
