Deadlines for this scholarship
An award closing is only the first of the dates that matter. After it there is the deposit that keeps your place, the unconditional offer the funder wants to see before it pays, and a last day to arrive and register. Where the funder publishes none of these, the row says so — a blank is what the official page actually says, not something we have left out.

Who can apply
Female citizens of only 10 countries - Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Philippines, Rwanda, South Africa, Thailand, Vietnam; Bangladeshi women qualify, Pakistani, Indian and Gulf nationals do not.
What the award is
Swedish Institute scholarship, funded by the Swedish government, for women starting an eligible STEM master's programme in Sweden. Only female citizens of the ten listed countries qualify - Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Philippines, Rwanda, South Africa, Thailand and Vietnam - so Bangladeshi applicants are covered while Pakistani applicants are not. Benefits and dates match the Global Professionals award: full tuition, SEK 12,000 per month, a SEK 15,000 travel grant, and an SI portal application window of 8-24 February 2027. Official source: https://si.se/en/apply/scholarships/pioneeringwomeninstem/ (checked 29 October 2026).Where these dates came from
The si.se page repeats the single shared SI window: '16 October 2026 - 15 January 2027' to apply through University Admissions, '8-24 February 2027' for the SI portal which 'closes at 14:59 CET on the final day', '1 April 2027: University admissions announcement' (admission or conditional admission is required that day) and '22 April 2027' for the scholarship announcement. Candidates using the same SI portal are considered automatically, no separate application is required, and no tuition-payment or latest-arrival date is published, so those columns stay blank - https://si.se/en/apply/scholarships/pioneeringwomeninstem/ (checked 30 October 2026)
Deadlines move. Always confirm on the funder's own page before you book anything — the link above is where we read it.
