Deadlines for this scholarship

An award closing is only the first of the dates that matter. After it there is the deposit that keeps your place, the unconditional offer the funder wants to see before it pays, and a last day to arrive and register. Where the funder publishes none of these, the row says so — a blank is what the official page actually says, not something we have left out.

No closing date published. This funder sets its closing date per country, or opens the call only when the cycle begins. Send us your documents and we will apply the moment your country’s window opens.

Who can apply

Third-country nationals (neither TRNC nor Turkish citizens) registered at TRNC universities; per-semester application through the YOBIS portal - all target nationalities in scope.

What the award is

Scholarship created by the TRNC Scholarship Regulation (Burs Tuzugu, as amended by Official Gazette A.E. 893/2024) for ”third-country nationals” - students who are neither TRNC nor Turkish citizens - registered at universities in Northern Cyprus, capped at 200 awardees and selected by a Ministry commission to promote the TRNC abroad. Applications are filed online each academic term through YOBIS, the Higher Education Scholarships and Information System of the TRNC Ministry of National Education (YODID); the page last listed the autumn round for foreign students as 22.09.2025-07.10.2025, and the 2026-2027 autumn scholarship/fee-support round on the same portal ran 14 September-31 October 2026, so watch YOBIS for the next call rather than relying on a fixed date. Official source: https://mevzuat.gov.ct.tr/Portals/48/Burs%20Tuzugu.pdf (checked 29 October 2026). In full: ; the amount is fixed each January by reference to the monthly gross minimum wage in the TRNC.

Where these dates came from

ydb.gov.ct.tr does not resolve from this network; the official TRNC Ministry of National Education YOBIS portal (yobis.mebnet.net) last posted the foreign-students KKTC Devlet Bursu round as 22.09-07.10.2025 (closed), and its open 2026-2027 Fall burs/okul harci round (14 Sep-31 Oct 2026) is the term-based award for already-registered students; no 2027 call date is published - https://yobis.mebnet.net/ (checked 30 October 2026).

Deadlines move. Always confirm on the funder's own page before you book anything — the link above is where we read it.
