NOT eligible: Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Oman are all absent from the official eligible-country list (Pacific: Fiji, French Pacific, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, North Pacific, PNG, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu; Asia: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Vietnam).
What the award is
New Zealand Government (NZ Aid Programme / Education NZ) fully-funded awards for study in New Zealand, covering full tuition, a living allowance, an establishment allowance, medical insurance, tutoring and research/thesis help, and return travel. Only nationals of eligible Pacific and selected Asian countries can apply (e.g. Samoa, Fiji, Nepal, Vietnam, Indonesia); Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are NOT on the eligible-country list. Each round runs March-April; the current round has closed and the next is expected to reopen around March (closing in April), so no confirmed date is posted yet.
