Deadlines for this scholarship
An award closing is only the first of the dates that matter. After it there is the deposit that keeps your place, the unconditional offer the funder wants to see before it pays, and a last day to arrive and register. Where the funder publishes none of these, the row says so — a blank is what the official page actually says, not something we have left out.
No closing date published. This funder sets its closing date per country, or opens the call only when the cycle begins. Send us your documents and we will apply the moment your country’s window opens.
Who can apply
Yes - it is for non-EEA students, so Pakistani, Indian, Bangladeshi and Gulf nationals qualify on nationality; the individual participating university sets the further requirements.
What the award is
The Dutch government's NL Scholarship for non-EEA students starting a bachelor's or master's in the Netherlands, financed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science together with the participating research universities and universities of applied sciences. The official page says the award amounts to EUR 5,000 paid in the first year, names it as the former Holland Scholarship, and states no replacement or change to that EUR 5,000 voucher; the 2026-2027 round opened on 1 November 2025. There is no single closing date - each institution runs its own selection and publishes its own deadline - so the student must check the scholarship page of the university applied to. Official source: https://www.studyinnl.org/finances/nl-scholarship (checked 29 October 2026).Where these dates came from
Study in the Netherlands gives no single closing date: its Deadlines section reads 'The application for the academic year 2026-2027 opened on 1 November 2025. Please check the website of the institution you want to apply to for the specific deadline(s)', so each participating institution runs its own selection and its own deadline and no date can be recorded here for 2027 entry. The award is a one-off EUR 5,000 in the first year of study only, explicitly 'not a full-tuition scholarship' - https://www.studyinnl.org/finances/nl-scholarship (checked 30 October 2026)
Deadlines move. Always confirm on the funder's own page before you book anything — the link above is where we read it.
