Deadlines for this scholarship
An award closing is only the first of the dates that matter. After it there is the deposit that keeps your place, the unconditional offer the funder wants to see before it pays, and a last day to arrive and register. Where the funder publishes none of these, the row says so — a blank is what the official page actually says, not something we have left out.
No closing date published. This funder sets its closing date per country, or opens the call only when the cycle begins. Send us your documents and we will apply the moment your country’s window opens.
Who can apply
Yes - applicants domiciled outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland and the UK, so Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Gulf nationals qualify; only Russian and Belarusian nationals are excluded.
What the award is
Scholarships from the Government of Ireland, administered by the Higher Education Authority, offering a stipend of EUR 10,000 for one year of full-time master's or PhD study (NFQ levels 9-10) in Ireland. Open to non-EU international students, including Pakistanis, who hold an offer from an Irish institution. The scheme runs an annual call that typically opens in late January and closes in mid-March; the 2026 round closed on 12 March 2026 and the 2027 call is expected in early 2027. Official source: https://hea.ie/policy/internationalisation/goi-ies/ (checked 29 October 2026).Where these dates came from
The HEA page is headed 'Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships 2026 Call Closed' and gives the 2026 deadline as '5pm (Irish time) 12 March 2026' with outcomes 'Early June 2026'; no 2027 call window has been published, so no date is given. The award is a EUR 10,000 stipend plus a full fee waiver from the host institution, and applicants must already hold a conditional or final offer of admission, but no separate date is published for that stage - https://hea.ie/policy/internationalisation/goi-ies/ (checked 30 October 2026)
Deadlines move. Always confirm on the funder's own page before you book anything — the link above is where we read it.
