Deadlines for this scholarship
An award closing is only the first of the dates that matter. After it there is the deposit that keeps your place, the unconditional offer the funder wants to see before it pays, and a last day to arrive and register. Where the funder publishes none of these, the row says so — a blank is what the official page actually says, not something we have left out.
No closing date published. This funder sets its closing date per country, or opens the call only when the cycle begins. Send us your documents and we will apply the moment your country’s window opens.
Who can apply
Graduates from developing/threshold countries with 2+ years' professional experience; Pakistan/India/Bangladesh generally qualify, Gulf states usually fall outside the EPOS development-country scope - check the country list.
What the award is
The DAAD EPOS programme funds development-related postgraduate degrees (12-42 month master's, LLM, MBA and doctorate courses) at German state universities for graduates of developing and newly industrialised countries who have at least two years of relevant professional experience. Stipends are EUR 992 per month for graduates and EUR 1,300 for doctoral candidates. There is no central deadline: the official page is explicit that applications must be sent directly to the individual degree course and that applications sent to the DAAD are not forwarded, so each listed course sets its own closing date. Official source: https://www.daad.de/en/information-services-for-higher-education-institutions/further-information-on-daad-programmes/epos/ (checked 29 October 2026).Where these dates came from
EPOS has no central DAAD closing date: candidates apply directly to the individual master's/LLM/MBA/doctoral course and each course sets its own deadline, listed in the DAAD 'List of all Postgraduate courses with application deadlines 2027/2028' (https://www.daad.de/en/information-services-for-higher-education-institutions/further-information-on-daad-programmes/epos/ and https://www2.daad.de/deutschland/stipendium/datenbank/en/21148-scholarship-database/?detail=50076777, checked 30 October 2026), so application_deadline is left blank. Funding is EUR 992/month (graduates) or EUR 1,300 (doctoral); no scheme tuition/CAS/enrolment date is published.
Deadlines move. Always confirm on the funder's own page before you book anything — the link above is where we read it.
