An award closing is only the first of the dates that matter. After it there is the deposit that keeps your place, the unconditional offer the funder wants to see before it pays, and a last day to arrive and register. Where the funder publishes none of these, the row says so — a blank is what the official page actually says, not something we have left out.

Who can apply
All foreign nationalities (dual French excluded), doctoral candidates aged 35 or under; Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Gulf PhD students eligible only when a French institution or research organisation nominates them.
What the award is
The doctorate track of the France Excellence Eiffel programme, on the French government's official doctoral portal, for PhD candidates up to 35 years old registered in a French doctoral school. That page states the allowance as EUR 2,100 per month from 1 January 2026 for 12, 18 or 36 months, and the Eiffel regulations add international and domestic travel and social security cover. As with the master's track the French host institution submits the application, and the current call closes 6 January 2027. The 2027 rules PDF sets scholarship start between 1 September and 30 November 2027 (12/18/36-month mobility awards extending from 1 September of the award year) and states Eiffel pays no tuition or fees, so tuition_deadline and cas_deadline are blank because the funder publishes neither.
