Deadlines for this scholarship
An award closing is only the first of the dates that matter. After it there is the deposit that keeps your place, the unconditional offer the funder wants to see before it pays, and a last day to arrive and register. Where the funder publishes none of these, the row says so — a blank is what the official page actually says, not something we have left out.
No closing date published. This funder sets its closing date per country, or opens the call only when the cycle begins. Send us your documents and we will apply the moment your country’s window opens.
Who can apply
Foreign students (all nationalities except France) registered full-time in a Quebec college or university program; Pakistan/India/Bangladesh/Gulf nationals qualify once enrolled in Quebec.
What the award is
Provincial government scholarships from the Fonds de recherche du Quebec (FRQ) for foreign students and researchers enrolled in a Quebec institution, covering college, vocational, university and postdoctoral levels in all research sectors. A nomination-like step is built in: the Quebec university must preselect the candidate, whose file is then entered in the FRQ portal - the published 2026-2027 session required FRQ submission by 2 December 2025, and each session runs once a year in the autumn. The amounts quoted are the ones listed on the Quebec government page, which publishes doctoral, postdoctoral, short-term and college figures only - the master's value is on the FRQ programme page. Official source: https://www.quebec.ca/en/education/study-quebec/financial-assistance-international-students/merit-scholarships (checked 29 October 2026).Where these dates came from
Quebec's official PBEEE page states no dates at all - universities preselect candidates and submit applications to the Fonds de recherche du Québec, and students are told to 'contact the institution' — https://www.quebec.ca/en/education/study-quebec/financial-assistance-international-students/merit-scholarships (checked 30 October 2026). All columns blank because the funder publishes no deadlines; each Quebec university sets its own internal PBEEE deadline.
Deadlines move. Always confirm on the funder's own page before you book anything — the link above is where we read it.
