All students from non-EU/EEA countries must apply for a residence permit via the Swedish Migration Agency, advised immediately after admission and payment of tuition fees. Requirements: admission to full-time studies (30 credits per semester), valid passport, ability to support yourself (minimum SEK 10 656 per month, proved with bank statement), and comprehensive health insurance (students admitted to programmes of one year or less are covered by health insurance from Halmstad University). Students with a residence permit may work part-time in Sweden. |
Requirements, fees and deadlines shown here are the ones our counsellors work from, but the
university can change them at any intake. We confirm the live figures with the institution
before an application is filed, so treat this page as the starting point rather than the
final word.
